William B. Slate, Patent Attorney
Will Slate has extensive intellectual property law experience with particular emphasis on patent and trademark counseling and prosecution. His patent experience spans a wide variety of technologies, including: semiconductor fabrication and packaging; medical devices; munitions; fluid handling, control, and measurement; industrial machinery; and sporting goods. His patent and trademark experience have both included substantial international components.
Will graduated with honors from the California Institute of Technology in 1988 with a B.S. in Engineering and Applied Science, with emphasis on Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics. He earned his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 1992.
Will began his legal career in California. He was an associate with Christie, Parker and Hale, Associate Corporate Counsel at Gemstar Development Corporation, and an associate with Fish and Richardson. Immediately prior to joining Bachman & LaPointe, he was an associate with Wiggin & Dana in New Haven, Connecticut.
Will has lectured on and authored numerous journal articles regarding U.S. patent practice and international intellectual property protection strategy.
Will is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Connecticut and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
